General Sensing was founded in 2005 to commercialize technology developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It is a privately held Hong Kong-based company, with satellite operations in Boston.
The company’s flagship product is MedSense, an innovative electronic compliance monitoring system that helps health-care institutions track and improve performance in hand hygiene, through continuous, automated monitoring.
MedSense is currently undergoing medical trials and is due for commercial launch in 2012.
